In 2006, the Option8 mail server:
- delivered 24,980 pieces of email to the world
- received 41,912 pieces of email for clients
- blocked 573,879 pieces of spam
So, 93.2% of incoming email was blocked as spam, with very few false positives. Though some will always get through, we’re getting better all the time.
Since then, we have replaced the aging mail server with a brand new one running the latest SpamAssassin and ClamAV to further protect our clients from spam, viruses, malware and phishing.
